MONEY DOESN’T HAVE TO BE SUCH A DIFFICULT THING TO DEAL WITH
Yet, in my several interactions with clients, friends and colleagues, it comes across as an area of concern. Typically, for lack of time but mostly for lack of understanding, money mistakes are committed in a consistent fashion. Yes, it has almost become a fashion.
And it hurts because every money mistake leads to an impact on your financial future. Yes, you could have become free of your financial worries and retired early to pursue your dreams. But it doesn’t seem so close.
Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way.
My name is Vipin Khandelwal. I have worked over a dozen years now in business and financial analysis, financial planning, education and running an online business.
This experience spans across companies, big and small. But my longest and most fulfilling opportunity was with PersonalFN, a financial planning and advisory company. There I got a chance to work with several individuals in helping them to make smarter decisions with money.
Several people who had burnt their fingers and hands by making serious investment mistakes in stock markets and with buying rogue insurance policies were now glad that they got unbiased, no nonsense education and advice. In turn, they got smarter too.
This was deeply fulfilling. But, there was more to come.
In 2012, I started my an online venture, Learning Infinite, with a focus to enable executives and students to add critical career skills. We got real industry experts to interact with learners to provide them guidance on things that really mattered to a working executive – understanding business numbers and defining and solving problems.
The connection made
On the one hand, I had helped individual investors with making smarter money and investment decisions. On the other hand, I worked on enabling people build a more satisfying and rewarding career with more income, respect and recognition flowing in.
This realisation has led to my blog at – www.vipinkhandelwal.com. With this initiative, I would share with you simple, educative and actionable ideas on money and investments.
No fancy terms or jargon!
You can expect to find simple ideas on:
- How to avoid the biggest mistakes with money
- How to make the most of the MONEY you have through right spending, saving and investing
I will share my experiences and learnings including from those who have done it before. There will be questions for you to think about, to help you assess your current situation in true light and then take critical steps to move towards your goals.
It will be education through and through to make you independent, more so, financially.
- Here’s – Money – a poem – what I felt about money as a 21 year old.
“What makes you qualified to do so?”, you ask.
While I am no more a believer in academic qualifications, I did happen to do my MBA. I am also registered with Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) as an ‘Investment Adviser‘. My registration number is INA000003643 valid till Oct 13, 2020.
Yet, I believe, my biggest qualification is my experience and what I have learnt in all these years. Having worked with over 500 individuals on their financial and/or career goals, I believe I have something valuable to share with you.
And some of them believe that it was really a help.
Here’s what Nakul Gupta, Sales Director, South Asia at GE Aviation has to say:
I first got acquainted with Vipin over a decade ago when he was a part of the financial advisory firm I had enlisted for my personal finances. I am privileged to have him as my Financial Advisor and in many ways, my life coach!
Vipin’s greatest strengths are in-depth research and communication skills. Being a voracious reader and natural networker, he has a vast body of knowledge to draw upon while proposing financial solutions to meet one’s goals. He particularly endears to me due to his simple demeanour and “genuine” intent to help rather than pursue any selfish vested interest. When he makes recommendations, they are never based on gut feel, rather are data backed and emerge as the outcome of weighing pros and cons of several potential options.
As is evident from his blog, his writings are easy on the eye and stimulating for the brain. He is equally lucid in verbal prose. He explains his thoughts in a simple, straight-forward manner that is easy to comprehend.
In the past few weeks itself, he has helped me make subtle changes to my portfolio (including loans, insurance, mutual funds, debt funds and real estate) to yield significant benefits in the short and long term. Further, he has enlightened me on many new books, apps, etc not just in the financial domain. Thank you Vipin for becoming a precious partner in my success!
Also, Usha Malik, Asst Vice President, Patent Research and Analytics Services at CPA Global has to say…
It was a pleasure knowing Vipin. My husband Rakesh and I got our savings planned and gained a lot of knowledge about best planning to assure a good future and Vipin deserves the credit for all of this. Right from when we started interacting with him, we found that he was extremely polite, pleasant and was able to understand our planning needs very well. He is an expert in his field and his advice has always been timely, well researched and good. He is good at his business and we will fondly remember our interactions with him. We wish him good luck and success in his professional and personal life!
