As you would know by now, I am a fee-only SEBI Registered Investment Adviser.
Vaddadi Kartick, Entrepreneur, Ex-Software Engineer at Google, Bangalore says
I have been working with Vipin for a few months, and have been impressed by his knowledge and advice, and by his tendency to share his insights with people who aren’t paying him, on his blogs, as opposed to people who have a zero-sum view of the world.
Vipin is analytical and data-driven, and is ready to say that he doesn’t know something when he doesn’t, rather than blustering his way through.
Vipin has been helping me improve my investments, insurance, financial planning, retirement planning and managing my expenses. While I’m most knowledgeable about investments, I realised that I was overpaying for insurance, and Vipin saved me ₹93K in the first month, much more than his annual fee.
I know a lot about investing, but still benefitted significantly from Vipin’s advice. I think that no matter how good you are at investing, you’ll benefit from an expert’s advice.
Personalised Advisory Services
#1 Financial Planning and Investment advisory
By itself, money has no meaning unless it helps you achieve your goals and enables a fulfilled and meaningful life.
Financial Planning is an attempt to map your money and your life goals. By identifying what means the most to you, you can then take appropriate action steps to achieve your life goals, financially.
In this engagement, my focus will be to listen to you and understand what is it that you want to do with money.
This would lead to listing of your financial goals and setting priorities.
Post that, we would analyse and see what is the best strategy to reach the identified goals including an asset allocation.
We will then go on to identify the most suitable investments to execute the investment strategy.
You would also understand how can you protect yourself and your dependents adequately with the use of insurance.
This service also includes a review of any existing investments that you might have.
This is not just a number driven exercise. The foundation of this service are the conversations that we have. At the end of it, you will feel empowered and confident to achieve your goals.
Once the plan is finalised, the next step is taking action on it. We will draw a checklist of all action points. Over the course of the service period, we will work together to work all the areas identified and ensure that all identified action points are actioned upon.
Remember most plans fail because you fail to act on them.
#2 Portfolio Review and recommendations
This service is a subset of the Financial Planning service.
If you have an existing portfolio of mutual funds and other investments that you feel has overgrown in size and complexity and you are just not sure what you are holding, then we can work to sort the mess out and build a portfolio that is suitable to your risk profile and time horizon.
This service excludes any goal based planning. It is given that you already have identified and defined your goals. All you need is to see that your investments are done right in line with your goals.
I will also support you in actioning upon the identified areas of improvement.
Each of the above services is offered for a flat fee on an annual basis. It includes unlimited interactions.

Here is what a few clients have to say about him and his approach.
Sanjeev Arora, Head – Supply Chain Management at American Tower, Gurgaon
Before meeting Vipin in his earlier Kalkaji office, New Delhi, sometime in 2006, I used to invest a lot in FDs and NSCs and considered them to be an effective money multiplier.. feeling happy. However, thinking horizon was limited. The entire rationale got changed after understanding what is SIP, financial planning for individuals, goals setting, expectations and how easy is to meet them in a planned manner with few simple but committed actions.
Mutual funds investments are absolutely safe and has a major role to play in financial future planning of individuals ageing 16 to 60 irrespective of what profession they are in, salaried or business or even retired. In fact, no other option is left.. One should talk to an expert and understand it today; sooner the better.
My finance portfolio got transformed after meeting Vipin, even after passing through 2 significant market crashes and recession phases, it withstood well and kept paying a handsome return. Mutual fund Investment with long term plan, meticulous and with patience will pay us more than we expect from it, that is what I have experienced in last 9 years. Enjoying it further…
It will not be fair if I do not thank Vipin for doing almost everything for my financial planning with his HONEST advises. Now I know what do I want, how it can be achieved and by when.
Dipanjan Das, CEO – GreyCells18, Network18
I have known Vipin as a financial advisor for more than a decade. An astute professional, Vipin brings to the table supreme competency, understanding of the business environment & business drivers, unflinching responsiveness to the customer and a supreme skill to craft a financial plan that stood for me year after year, every time. I am making a very binary statement here. I have always gained from Vipin’s advice and attribute his advice to be a major factor in my asset building activities over all these years.
Piyush Dhimate, Specialist – Product Development at FIS
I had a financially empowering experience with Vipin. I was pretty much confused when I had decided to invest in Mutual funds but Vipin along with Unovest’s goal oriented approached help me invest the right amount at the right place and most importantly for a purpose. As I communicated the many questions I had, I could see how deep Vipin’s financial assessments ran. At this point in time, my decision to seek his professional advice has given a good kick start for my investments.
Sahil Wadhwa, Lead Application Developer at Equal Experts
I had been a victim of bad financial advice from friends and family until I accidentally landed on blogs by Vipin on Unovest. My financial strategy has totally changed after that. Genuine and thought-full advice which I get through Unovest along with its unique reporting features gives me more comfort & control about where my money is going and how it’s performing. Now I am moving to do all my transaction and tracking from Unovest only. This trust with Vipin & Unovest has actually encouraged me to double my investments since last year so as to secure my future financially.
Nakul Gupta, Sales Director, South Asia at GE Aviation, Singapore says
I first got acquainted with Vipin over a decade ago when he was a part of the financial advisory firm I had enlisted for my personal finances. I am privileged to have him as my Financial Advisor and in many ways, my life coach!
Vipin’s greatest strengths are in-depth research and communication skills. Being a voracious reader and natural networker, he has a vast body of knowledge to draw upon while proposing financial solutions to meet one’s goals. He particularly endears to me due to his simple demeanour and “genuine” intent to help rather than pursue any selfish vested interest. When he makes recommendations, they are never based on gut feel, rather are data backed and emerge as the outcome of weighing pros and cons of several potential options.
As is evident from his blog, his writings are easy on the eye and stimulating for the brain. He is equally lucid in verbal prose. He explains his thoughts in a simple, straight-forward manner that is easy to comprehend.
In the past few weeks itself, he has helped me make subtle changes to my portfolio (including loans, insurance, mutual funds, debt funds and real estate) to yield significant benefits in the short and long term. Further, he has enlightened me on many new books, apps, etc not just in the financial domain. Thank you Vipin for becoming a precious partner in my success!
